In the Tholons Global Innovation Index 2021, Kraków/Poland strengthened its position in the TOP 100 Super Cities ranking, taking 20th place.
In relation to the previous year, this is a promotion by as many as 5 places. Apart from Kraków, the ranking includes two more Polish cities, Warsaw (35th place) and Wrocław (99th place).
Kraków recorded the largest increase in the Innovation and Digitalization category (Innovation/Digital) compared to 2020, which proves the development of start-ups, unicorns, innovative companies using modern technology in our city. The general level of digitalisation was also appreciated, including the digital literacy rate, which is one of the important skills and competences necessary to participate actively in the knowledge-based society and the new media culture.
