The choice of Poland by Westinghouse confirms that American investors appreciate the maturity of Kraków's modern services sector, as well as Poland's economic stability and its strategic location in terms of possibilities for servicing processes from all over the world. I am glad that today we can confirm that the company's development plans are connected with our country. Poland will definitely strengthen the position of BSS leader in the region. We are the best partner for the modern business services sector. This investment may be a harbinger of the company's next big projects in Poland - says Grzegorz Słomkowski.

Westinghouse Electric Company is an American supplier of nuclear products and technologies. It offers innovative solutions to companies all over the world. The company delivered the world's first commercial pressurized water reactor in 1957. Today, Westinghouse technology is the basis for about half of the world's operating nuclear power plants.

Westinghouse is committed to Poland's energy transition goals. The establishment of the Westinghouse Global Shared Services Centre is a confirmation of this. We are also implementing activities envisaged in the Polish-American intergovernmental agreement. The commencement of Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) works and the opening of the Global Shared Services Centre are its elements. Ultimately, we want to provide Poland with the best technology, which will enable efficient achievement of climate targets and secure the energy needs of the economy - emphasises Patrick Fragman, President and CEO of Westinghouse.

Kraków a good address for BSS

PAIH experts underline that the capital of Małopolska region enjoys high interest of investors. Almost one fourth of all people employed in the sector on the Polish market work in local BSS centres and the dynamics of employment growth remains at the highest level in our country. A significant factor in the success of Kraków is the strong academic background of the city, especially in technical and IT faculties, and the resulting large pool of highly qualified employees. The modern services sector is one of the strategic sectors of the Polish economy, PAIH handles the largest number of investments from this particular sector.
