Cisco Global Services Center is launching ThousandEyes engineering support for the EMEAR (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region at its centre in Krakow, announced Ramon Tancinco, director of Cisco Global Services Center in Krakow.

"Software development, customer experience and cyber security are priority areas for Cisco, which are also strategic for us in Krakow - our goal is to evolve with the transformation of the company. We have also recently become a location for Cisco acquisitions and today we are pleased to announce the addition of the Cisco ThousandEyes customer support engineering team to the Cisco Krakow family," Tancinco said, as quoted in the release.

The ThousandEyes team in Krakow will consist of support engineers and professional services consultants. This is another engineering support team operating within Cisco Krakow, following the opening of the Cisco AppDynamics customer support centre earlier this year, it stressed.

"Last year highlighted the critical importance of digital infrastructure. Organisations are moving to a new digital operating model to be even better prepared for the challenges ahead. For companies, this means they need to put even more emphasis on digital transformation processes - to deliver their services in a digital-first model. Cisco Krakow plays a key role in supporting our customers in this process," added Przemysław Kania, General Director, Cisco Poland.

ThousandEyes was acquired by Cisco in 2020. With network and cloud analytics technology from ThousandEyes, customers gain comprehensive insight into how applications and services are delivered over the Internet, allowing them to pinpoint shortcomings and improve network and application performance across enterprise networks and the cloud.

Cisco Kraków employs representatives of 70 nationalities, and about 1/3 of employees come from outside Poland. 40% of the employees of the Kraków branch are women. Moreover, Cisco Kraków is annually ranked among the best places to work in Poland in the Great Place to Work ranking.

The company also emphasises its commitment to the city and the local community. In the current fiscal year (which ends for Cisco on July 31st), more than half of the employees were involved in some form of social activity, volunteering or charity work: working with people with intellectual disabilities, packing and delivering meals to the needy, cleaning up national parks, collecting food or money for animal shelters.

At Cisco Krakow, we have found the perfect place for our presence in the EMEAR region and a talent pool that abounds with technical expertise and shares our sense of commitment to accuracy and speed in helping our customers. Today we celebrate our success to date and look forward to growing the team further," says Mike Marken, head of global support at Cisco
