CanPack Group, a global packaging manufacturer headquartered in Krakow, will build an aluminium beverage can manufacturing facility in Muncie, Indiana.

Construction of the approximately 80,000-square-foot facility will begin in mid-year. The plant is expected to be operational in the fourth quarter of 2022.

This is the packaging manufacturer's second investment in the United States. In 2020, construction began on a plant in Olyphant, Pennsylvania. As part of its expansion into the US market, the company plans to invest another $10m in Olyphant to increase its aluminium lid production capacity.
CanPack was founded in 1992. Today, it employs 8,000 people in 28 plants around the world.
