Among the winners were successively: KGHM Polska Miedź, the shipyard Crist SA, Fabryka Mebli Forte SA and Oknoplast Sp. z o.o.

Data from the Central Statistical Office (GUS) show a continuing upward trend in exports to France. In 2017, it amounted to EUR 11.6 billion compared to EUR 10.1 billion in 2016. The group of the best-selling goods from Poland a year ago included road vehicles, electrical equipment and furniture. The upward trend can also be seen today. In the first ten months of 2018, the value of exports from Poland to the Loire reached the level of EUR 10.2 billion, which is a better result than in 2016.

- France is one of Poland's EU trade partners with the fastest export rate. In October, sales to this country increased by 6.2% - data from the Central Statistical Office (GUS), comments Monika Kamińska-Jablonka, head of the trade office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency in Paris, which was the co-organizer of the awards ceremony for leading Polish exporters to France.

As Kamińska-Jablonka adds, trends in trade between Poland and France influence the intensive pace of work of the Paris office of PAIH. - Since the beginning of 2018, we have handled enquiries from over 520 Polish companies, primarily interested in exports. The cross-section of the sector is very wide. We see the most interesting perspectives especially for companies from the construction, food, IT and smart city sectors, such as RES or recycling solutions. However, the PAIH office manager points out that the French market, although promising, is full of challenges.

- In theory, France is an EU country, where the conditions of investment, activity and the flow of goods are facilitated for all its members. In practice, companies considering entering France have to take into account high taxes, including considerable costs for the employer, strong competition and attachment to domestic products. It is also necessary to focus on competing with innovation. However, the example of Polish export leaders shows that these barriers can be effectively overcome - adds PAIH expert.

Prix du Meilleur Exportateur Polonais en France has been awarded for fourteen years. This year they were presented under the patronage of the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology.
